Psalm 128)
1 O the happiness of every one that reveres the LORD;
That walks in His ways.
2 For you shall eat the labor (put for what is produced by labor) of your hands: (I.e. your own hands, in contrast with the opposite [Lev. 26:16. Deut. 28:30-33,39,40]. See also Amos 5:11. Mic. 6:15.)
Happy shall you be, and it shall be well with you.
3 Your wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of Your house: (The reference is, as Ps. 127, to the fact that Hezekiah was childless at this time and longed for an heir)
Your sons like olive plants round about your table.
4 Behold, that thus shall the strong man be blessed
That reveres the LORD.
5 The LORD shall bless you out of Zion:
And you shall see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
6 Yea, you shall see your son's sons, (Hezekiah did see.)
And peace upon Israel. (Because this Psalm concludes a group.)
