Matthew 24)

1 And Jesus went out, (Thus marking this [see Mark 13:1] as the 2nd of the 2 prophecies: The former [Luke 21] being spoken "in the Temple") and departed away from the Temple courts:

(The sacred enclosures.)

and His disciples came to Him for to show Him the buildings of the temple. (These consisted of the courts, halls, colonnades, towers, and "wings". In Luke 21 "some" spoke of its adornment with goodly stones and gifts.)

2 And Jesus said to them, "Behold you not all these things? truly I say to you, There shall by no means (very emphatic, because certain) be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down." (Antichrist sets himself up in Jerusalem at the sixth trump. At the seventh trump not one stone will be left standing upon another. Jesus is going to clean house.)

3 And as He sat upon the mount of Olives,

the disciples came to Him alone, (Luke 21 was spoken publicly) saying, "Tell us,

and what shall be the sign of Your presence, (An expression for the arrival or the visit of the king or the emperor. Also of other persons in authority, or of troops)

and of the end of the world?" (= meeting together of all that marks the consummation of the age. See 4:9)

24:4-25:26. PROPHECY. PARTICULAR.
F H1 24:4-6. Answer to the 1st Question.
   H2 24:7-28. Answer to the 2nd Question.
   h3 24:29-25:26. Answer to the 3rd Question.

24:4-6. ANSWER TO THE 1ST QUESTION.
H1 y 4. Warning. The beginning.
     z 5. Many Antichrists.
     z -6. Rumors of Wars.
y 6-. Warning. Not the end.

4 And Jesus answered and said to them, "Take heed that not any one lead you astray. (The deception that destroys comes from the traditions of men and false doctrine. It will come from the mouth of antichrist. Do you believe them or the Word of God?)

5 For many shall come upon (trading upon) My name, saying, 'I am the Messiah;' and shall lead astray many.

6 And you will be about to hear of wars and rumors of wars: (What is the opposite of war? Antichrist comes in peaceably. When you begin to hear of world peace, you want to get your head out of the sand and pay close attention.) see that you be not troubled:

for all these things it is necessary for them to arise, but the end is not yet. (Gr. telos, this means the beginning, not the end. The many "Christs" would be the very 1st sign. See 1 John 2:18. Its going to happen. It is binding. It's set in concrete. So don't get anxious Read Prov. 4. It is no fluke. We have a Creator. He was lonesome. He created mankind, His children for His pleasure. He's real. How can we tell He's real? In part because of the one word DEO. Every time it has been used in the past, it has come to pass exactly as it was written. The will of God. )

24:7-28. ANSWER TO THE SECOND QUESTION.
H2 J 7,8. The Tribulation. The birth-pangs. Read this with Mark 13:8, Luke 21:10,11.

    J 15-20. The 2nd Sign. | Mark 13:9-22
     K 21-28. The Great Tribulation. | not Luke 21.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: quoted from Isa. 19:2) and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in different places.
8 All these are a beginning of birth-pangs.

24:9-14. TRIBULATION. GENERAL.
K a 9. Proclamation. The Gospel of the Kingdom.
    b 10. Consequences. Stumbling.

a 13,14. Promise. The Gospel of the Kingdom.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated by all nations on account of My name's sake. (It would be spiritual death for the elect to bend a knee before antichrist. Those of you with eyes to see and ears to hear know that your purpose is to be delivered up and affliction goes along with that. Don't ever pray for the affliction to be removed. Pray for the strength to endure the affliction. God will always give the elect what they need to accomplish His will.)

10 And then shall many stumble (quoted from Isa. 8:15) and will deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, 12 And on account of lawlessness shall be multiplied, the love of many shall grow cold.

13 But he that shall have endured to the actual end, the same shall be delivered. (1 Thess. 1:10)
14 And this gospel of the kingdom (gospel = good news) shall be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, (ref. to Dan. 12:11. See also Dan. 9:27; 11::31; 12:11. Used as the equivalent for a special idol. Deut. 7:26. 1 Kings 11:7. 2 Kings 23:13. Cp. 2 Thess. 2:4.)spoken of (that which brings on God's desolating judgment) through Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him observe attentively:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee upon the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But you pray that your flight happen not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

24:21-28. THE GREAT TRIBULATION.
K f 21,22. The Great Tribulation. Beginning.

     h -24. Their object.
g 25,26. Warning. "If they shall say".
f 27,28. The Great Tribulation. The End.

21 For then (quoted from Dan. 12:1) shall be great tribulation, such as has not arisen from the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be curtailed, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say to you, 'Lo, here is the Messiah, or there; believe it not. (Why? Because Jesus Christ doesn't return, until the seventh trump. If you worship anyone before then, you will be worshiping the antichrist. Jesus didn't say, "You don't need to worry about any of this, because you are going to be gone".)

24 For there shall (not maybe) arise false Christs, (the false Christ, Satan, will come 1st. No such thing as the "Rapture") and false prophets, (teachers, preachers, Reverends) and shall give great signs and wonders;

so as to, if it were possible, (the condition involves no doubt as to its being impossible) they shall deceive the very elect. (Heed the warning of Jesus Christ. Don't allow them to deceive you. He's going to look like Jesus, but speak as the Devil. He will have supernatural power (Rev. 13:11-13). Don't allow him to deceive you. It wont happen, but it will test you. If you are still in the flesh body, he's a fake, because when does Christ return, we will all be turned into our spiritual bodies.)

25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say to you, 'Behold, he is in the desert;' go not forth: 'behold, he is in the secret chambers;' (see 6:6. Luke 12:2,24) believe it not.

27 For just as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall the presence of the Son of man be. (Don't allow anyone to tell you Jesus Christ has returned, until the seventh trump sounds (1 Cor. 15:52). We will all be in our spiritual bodies at that time. It is that simple.)
28 For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the vultures be gathered together. (See Job 39:30; which shows the true interpretation.)

24:29-25:46. THE ANSWER TO THE 3RD QUESTION.
H3 L N 24:29,30. The Son of man. Shining forth. T he 3rd Sign
O 29:31. The gathering of the Elect (Israel).
M P 24:32-41. Parables and Type. The Fig-tree, and Noah.
              Q 24:42-44. Warning. "Watch therefore".

              Q 25:13. Warning. "Watch therefore".

L N 25:31. The Son of man. On His Throne.
O 25:32-46. The gathering of the nations (Gentiles).

29 Immediately after (no room therefore for a Millennium before His coming. It must follow it.) the tribulation of those days (quoted from Isa. 13:10; 34:4) shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: (See Isa. 13:10,11; 34:4. Probably referring to the evil "principalities and powers" of Eph. 1:21; 6:12. Col. 1:16; 2:10,15)

30 And then shall shine forth the sign (as asked for in v.3) of the Son of man in heaven:

and then shall all the tribes of the land mourn, (quoted from Zech. 12:12)

and they shall see the Son of man coming seated upon the clouds of heaven (quoted from Dan. 7:13) with power, yes, with great and glorious power.

31 And he shall send his angels with a trumpet, yes, a great sounding trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, out of one end of heavens to the other. (Who "received the Word". Acts 2:41. 1 Thess. 2:13. Quoted from Deut. 30:4. See 1 Thess. 4:16,17)

24:32-41. PARABLES AND TYPES.
P l 32. Parable. The Fig-tree.
    m 33. The application.
     n 34. Time. Nearness.
o 35,36. Divine certainty. Creature ignorance.
l 37. Type. The days of Noah.
    m 38. The application.
     n 39-. Time. Suddenness.
o -39-41. Divine certainty. Creature ignorance.

32 Now learn the (referring to a well-known saying) parable from the fig tree; When its branch shall have become already tender, and puts forth leaves, you get to know that summer is near:

33 So you also, when you shall see all these things, know that He is near, even at the doors.

34 Truly I say to you, This generation (see 11:16) shall by no means pass, till (marking the uncertainty, which was conditional on the repentance of the nation. Note the 4 "tills" [10:23; 16:28; 23:39; 24:34], and cp. what is certain with what is uncertain) all these things may have begun to take place. (referring specially to the 1st sign in v.4, in response to the 1st question in v.3; not the same word as in Luke 21:24, but the same as in v.32.)

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away. (See Mark 9:32. The world of God is eternal. You are going to live by this in the eternity, if you’re there. Otherwise you’re going to be in a lake of fire anyways so it won’t make a whole lot of difference to you will it? Because you’re gone.)
36 But concerning that day and hour (what hour? The Hour of Temptation) knows no one, (has any intuitive knowledge) no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father alone. (But again, He gives the parable of the fig tree directly before that and it does give the generation. So it’s important that you understand that.)

37 But as the days of Noah were, so will also the presence also of the Son of man be. (The events leading up to the 2nd advent will be exactly as in the days of Noah prior to the flood. Well what was going on then? Well He’s going to tell us. Isn’t it wonderful and what a teacher He is! I speak of Christ.)

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, (Clay & iron. 10 supernatural kings. You’re actually reading how it will be here on earth during that hour of temptation. You know very well that from Genesis 6 states that the fallen angels saw the daughters of Adam and that they were beautiful. And they came and took them to wife, seduced them, they were impregnated them, and children were born, and they were called geber by the nephilim. (see: Genesis chapter 6:1-5) And God searched and there was only one man that had a perfect generation; that word generation in the Hebrew, taken to the prime, is pedigree.)

39 And knew not until the flood came, (symbolic of 5 month period. Rev. 9:4) and took them all away;

so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Many will be taken away by the flood that occurs prior to Christ's return. You can read in that same chapter of Revelation 12, a flood of lies coming from Satan’s mouth that chases after those that try to follow Christ. Yes there will be another flood but not a flood by water but by lies and deception.)
40 Then (This means at the same time or just right after that and after you see these things happen right on earth) shall two be in the field; the one is taken, (taken by whom? Satan! Taken by the false Christ. How many sermons have been preached on this! And how many have said, “Oh praise Jesus, I want to be the one taken!” Well who are they taken by? By the son of perdition! The antichrist! The fallen angels! Do you want to be taken by them? Well hey, hop in bed with them friends, spiritually speaking. It’s all your game. You’re the one that’s going to pay the bill. Have at it. He’s telling you about the hour of temptation. Are you intelligent enough not to even be tempted? Are you biblically illiterate or are you familiar with God’s word?. They will be taken into his camp by deception. Pay attention to the subject - talking about deception!) and the other left. (These are the smart ones, remained to do God's work, not afraid of tests and trials, able to rebuke Satan.)
41 Two women shall be grinding in the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. (Same as above. Grinding was and is woman's work in the East, and is done in the morning. Christ Himself tells us in verse 26 of this chapter not to believe anyone that tells you that He is here or there. He [Satan] is the one doing the taking [by the way of that flood of lies as was stated 2 verses ago]. You want to join the team? They got mighty pretty uniforms. Jump in one of them if that is what your choice is. Listen to the traditions of men and suffer. Stay in the field working and watching.)

24:42-44. WARNING. "WATCH THEREFORE".
Q S p 42-. Warning. "Watch".
       q -42. Reason.
        T 43-. Thief. Knowledge of.
        T -43. Thief. Action against.
   S p 44-. Warning. "Be ready".
       q -44. Reason.

42 Watch therefore: (as in 1 Thess. 5:6 and 10 ["wake"].)

for you know not what hour (What hour? The hour of temptation) your Lord does come. (The hour of temptation precedes the very end of that hour of that 5-month period.)

43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief is coming,

he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. (If you know the hour of temptation you won’t be caught off-guard friend because that is the hour in which it will come.)

44 On this account become you also ready: (The point is that no one that knows what hour a thief would come would be surprised and allow their house to be broken into. They would be ready.)

for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes. (In other words with the false messiah already on earth not too many will be watching for the true Son of God. But you will be. Why? You know the truth. You know the hour of temptation.)

24:45-51. SERVANTS. PARABLE.
R r 45-. The faithful and wise servant.
    s -45. His duties performed.
     t 46. His lord's coming.
      u 47. His reward.
   r 48. The evil servant.
    s 49. His duties neglected.
     t 50. His lord's coming.
      u 51. His punishment.

45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant,

whom his lord has made ruler at the head his household, to give them their food in due season? (True Word of God. The faithful and wise servant gives his household the meat of God's Word so they are prepared for the season of antichrist. Noah might not have seemed to be a successful preacher to some; however, you can't argue that he wasn't faithful.)

46 Happy is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing. (Now what did that say? Did it say blessed is the servant that is flying out in the atmosphere out in the boony moony moons? That isn’t what He said. He said blessed is the servant that stays on the job in the field which is the earth, working. [See: Matt 13:38…the field is the earth]. Working what? Doing what was described as when you are delivered up allowing the Holy Spirit to speak, and to continue serving the Living God. And, blessed will be, only the person still doing God’s work, and cursed is the 1st taken. Cursed. In the bed of Satan, the jezebel of Revelation chapter 2 and 3. It declares there very clearly that she’ll hop into his bed.)

47 Verily I say to you, That he shall make him ruler in charge of all his substance. (Or property. In other words there’s going to be some teachers during the millennium. And it will be those that teach even now. It is that one that stays at the mill working that will be in charge during the millennium and teaching those that have allowed themselves to trip and fall into the deception of the false christ.)

48 But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, 'My lord delays to come;'

49 And shall begin to smite his fellow-servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; (You can hear them, "He ain’t coming. And don’t worry if He does cause you’re gonna be gone anyway! You don’t have to study God’s word. You don’t have to understand the book of Revelation. You’re not even going to be here so party it up spiritually friend! And rest easy you’re saved." Saved by who, antichrist?! Wake up!)

50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looks not for him, and in an hour that he does not know, (What hour? The hour of temptation, right at the close, that he is not aware of. Are you aware of the hour of temptation?)

51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Weeping and gnashing of teeth is like, “Oh Lord You don’t understand, I, I’ve been a big time preacher here for You for many years… I, I, just got off track there with that rapture thing and I’ve led a lot of people to you Lord.” And He’s going to tell him, “Get out of my sight! Get over there with the hypocrites, you hypocrite!” Sounds strong? Well, rather see you wake up now then wake up too late.)
