Isaiah 65)

1 I am sought of them that asked not for Me; I am found of them that sought Me not: I said, “Behold Me, behold Me,” to a nation that was not called by My name. (see Deut. 32:21, and refers to the Dispensation of the Acts. See the Structure of "the Song of Moses", Deut. 32. Quoted in Rom. 10:20,21)
2 I have spread out My hands all the day to a rebellious People, which walks in a way that was not right (cp. Ps. 36:4), after their own thoughts;
3 A People that provokes Me to anger (see Deut.32:21, the same word, though not the same form) continually to My face; that sacrifices in gardens (see Lev. 17:5. Cp. 1:29; 57:5. Jer. 2:20), and burns incense upon the bricks; (i.e. not on the golden altar of incense)
4 Which remain among the tombs, and lodge in the secret places (probably in heathen temples), which eat swine's flesh (see Lev.11:7. Deut. 14:8, where this was forbidden. Swine is an unclean animal and will make you sick if you eat it. Bones of swine were found at Gezer. See 1 Kings 9:15), and broth of abominable things (the reference is to a sacrificial feast of unclean food. See Lev. 7:18; 19:7) is in their vessels;
5 Which say, “Stand by yourself, come not near to me; for I am holier than you.” “These are a smoke in My nose, a fire that burns all the day.
6 Behold, it is written before Me (see Ex. 32:35. Lev. 26. Deut. 32): I will not keep silence, but will recompense (see Deut.32:35, the same word, and is unique in its occurrences), even recompense into their bosom,
7 Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together,” says the Lord, “which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed Me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.”

8 Thus says the Lord (note the frequent occurrence of this expression in predicting these new things. The first is 42:5), “According as the new wine (here is further reference to the new Israel. See v.1) is found in the cluster, and one says, ‘Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it:’ so will I do for My servants' sakes (some codices read, "servant's", singular: i.e. Messiah [see 37:35]: = "for the sake of My servant"), that I may not destroy them all.
9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob (a further reference to the new Israel of 26:2; 66:7,8. Matt. 21:43), and out of Judah an inheritor of My mountains: and My elect shall inherit it, and My servants shall dwell there.
10 And Sharon (see 33:9) shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor (as in Hos. 2:15. The only two references to the history of Josh. 7) a place for the herds to lie down in, for My People that have sought Me.

11 But you all are they that forsake the Lord (see 1:4. In other words God is putting a curse upon those that will not hold to His word), that forget My set apart mountain (That’s Zion), that prepare a table for that troop (Heb. gad, the well-known Syrian god of "Fate". The wrong troop. The wrong host), and that fill up the mixed wine (cp. Jer. 7:18; 44:17) to that number. (Heb. meni. Same as the god Manu [= Destiny] of the Assyrian inscriptions. Unfortunately the wrong drink and the wrong number. God of faith is who gad is, alright, in the troop. Unfortunately it will be the bad fate of many to walk that path)
12 Therefore will I destroy you to the sword (Heb. manithi, Fig., with the name of god, Meni), and you all shall all bow down to the slaughter (Very religious thing friend. They will be deceived): because when I called, you all did not answer; when I spoke, you all did not hear; but did evil before My eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.” (see 1:29. People are always going the wrong direction and listening to the wrong people when they have their Father to listen to.)
13 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold (Luke 6:25 refers to the period prophesied here. He's talking to the wicked), My servants (refers to the new Israel of 26:2; 66:7,8. Matt. 21:43. Those that He protects) shall eat, but you all shall be hungry (Whenever that famine of the end times comes what is it? Amos chapter 8. The famine is not for bread but it is a famine or starving to hear the true word of God because there will not be that many teaching the true word of God at that time): behold, My servants shall drink (i.e. His holy Word. See Amos 8:11), but you all shall be thirsty: behold, My servants shall rejoice, but you all shall be ashamed: (Thou preparest a table for me in the face of mine enemies. Has He prepared that table for you in this generation?)
14 Behold, My servants shall sing for joy of heart, but you all shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for breaking of spirit. (Unfortunately, wrong spirit.)
15 And you all shall leave your name for a curse to My chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay you (He's about to blot them out, not Satan [yet]), and call His servants by another name: (I.e Hephzi-bah. See 62:4. Do you have that name? Yeah, we’re in the Old Testament, but it the same one speaking, your Father. Do you have that name? He calls His servants by another name.)
16 So that he who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of faithfulness (see Gen.22:18;26:4. Cp. 2 Cor. 1:20); and he that swears in the earth shall swear by the God of faithfulness (see Deut. 6:13); because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from My eyes. (this will reach His heart and will be blotted out. He will forgive you)

17 For, behold, I create a new heaven age and a new earth age:

note the contrast with Rev.21:
          ISA. 65                        Rev. 21
Name, Jerusalem                  New Jerusalem (v.2).
(Hephzi-bah, v.21).               "great", "holy" (v.10).
Position, on mountains, (v.25) out of heaven (v.2).
Privileges, vv.18-20.            v.4.
Character, sinners there (v.20) no sinners (v.27).
           prayer (v.24)         no temple (v.22).
Employment, labor, planting, already built by God
building (v.21).                 (vv.12-25; 22:3-5).
and the former (namely those which were, and are now) shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be you all glad and rejoice for ever (Chald. Targum renders it "in the world of worlds": i.e. the most glorious world) in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. (this is how it was in the beginning)
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in My People: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her (therefore not the restoration of Ezra-Nehemiah, or the Church of God now), nor the voice of crying. (nothing to cause you to weep)
20 An there shall be no more from that place an infant of a few days, nor an old man that has not filled his days (we have eternity - no such thing as age): for the youth may die an hundred years old (i.e. neither early death, nor premature decay.); but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be cut off. (cp. Ps.101:8)

21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; (see Lev. 26:16. Deut. 28:41. See Rev. 21)

and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

22 They shall not build, and another inhabit;

they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of My People (symbology for length of life of the evergreen), and My elect elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23 They shall not labor in vain (see Deut.28:41, reversed. Cp. Lev. 26:16), nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. (a reference to 30:19. The new blessing of Messiah [Ps. 21:3] now extended to the new Israel)
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed as one (as in 11:6,7,9, which is Millennial, not eternal), and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat (never was the serpent's food. It is used as a powerful Figure of Speech, or Idiom, as in Ps. 72:9. cp. Rev. 20:17. = as for the serpent, dust shall be his food: i.e. the Old Serpent (Rev.20:2), who brought in all the sin and misery to the world and to Israel, will then be bound [Rev.20:1-3], and he will lick the dust, the symbol of his humiliation, disappointment, and defeat.Referring to the Figures used in Gen. 3:14). They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My set apart mountain,” (see 11:9) says the Lord.
