426 B.C.
Daniel 8)
1 In the third year (426 B.C., Daniel being 87 years old) of the reign of king Belshazzar (= prince of [Bel], Satan. See 1 Cor. 10:10) a vision appeared to me (like the vision in ch. 7, this also is complete in itself, but is necessary to contribute its proof of the unity off the book as a whole. This vision [and the rest of the book from here] is written in Hebrew; because its purpose is to showhow Gentile dominion [of ch. 2] specially concerns and effects Israel), even to me Daniel, after that which appeared to me at the first. (2 years after. At the end of the Babylonian empire, for Belshazzar reigned little more than 2 years.)
2 And I saw in a vision (when the 3 children of Israel were thrown in the furnace); and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was in (Daniel may have retired there [during the lycantropy of Nebuchadnezzar] when Nehemiah and Mordecai were in the court of Astyages [Neh. 1:1]. That Daniel was there employed by Astyages is clear from 8:27) Shushan (= a lily. The chief city of all of Persia. Daniel was the lily in the province of the eternity. What he saw in this river was pure water. Cp. the Millennium chapters of Ezekiel) in the palace, which is in the province of Elam (= eternity. See Book of Esther); and I saw in a vision, and I was by the Ulai canal. (= pure water. Now the Karŭn river.)
3 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and look, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram (in v. 20 this is interpreted of Persia. A ram is always the symbol of Persia. Found today on ancient Persian coins. The king wore a ram's head of gold, and ram's heads are to be seen on the sculptured pillars or Perepolis) which had two horns (kings of Media and Persia): and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last. (Cyrus [the later] became greater than his father Astyages. Both were in existence when Daniel saw the vision. Also symbolical of Ephraim [the U.K.] and Manasseh [the U.S.A.)
4 I saw the ram butting to the west, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great. (Cp. U.S.A. Super power of super power)
5 And as I was considering (meditating), behold, an he goat (a leaper of the goats. The acknowledged sign of Greece, as the ram was of Persia, because the 1st colony was directed by an oracle to take a goat for a guide and build a city, which they did, and called it Egeæ [from Aix = a goat]. Figures of a goat found today on ancient Macedonian monuments. Not a good sign. Today represent someone working in and around the U.N.) came from the west (not the place of origin, but the direction from it. In v.4 the Heb = to the west) over the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground:
and the goat had a conspicuous horn between his eyes. (Alexander.)
6 And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power. (Destruction from within. Symbolizing the rapidity of Alexander's conquests, which, in the short space of 13 years, subdued the world.)
7 And I saw him come close to the ram, and he stove violently against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was no deliverer for the ram out of his power. (Supposition: Wilson of the Ephraim, and Nixon Manasseh that both went down in 1974, but Gorbachev keeps running around. Watch and stay awake)
8 Therefore the he goat waxed exceedingly great (or proud. Referring to the great extent Alexander's conquests, as "ran" [v.6] refers to the rapidity of the. Also in the end, the growth of the "one world system"): and when he was strong, the great horn was broken in pieces;
and instead of it came up afterwards four conspicuous ones toward the four winds of heaven. (See Rev. 7. 7 = spiritual completeness. Bring about the end of the age. The 4 winds are held up until God's elect are sealed in their mind. When the truth is taught them and they absorb it. So that they can stand for the true Father against the deception of fake one, Anti-Christ.)
9 And out of [the] one of them came forth a little horn (see 7:8, the antichrist type set forth), which grew [and became] exceeding great, toward the south (i.e. Egypt), and toward the east (i.e. Babylon and Persia), and toward the glory of [gems]. (i.e. the land of Israel. Only Ezekiel [20:6,16] and Daniel here use this term of the Holy land. The same land as in 11:16,41. Cp. Ps. 106:24. Jer. 3:19. Zech. 7:14. Look at the Middle East today.)
10 And it waxed great, as far as the stars of heaven (cp. Rev. 12:4); and it cast down some of the starry host to the ground, and trampled them (i.e. the people symbolized by them) under foot. (See Rev. 12:6,7)
11 Yes, he magnified himself even against the Ruler of the host (God Himself, the Creator and Ruler of the starry host), and by him the the continual [burnt offering] was taken away (i.e. the morning and evening sacrifice [Ex. 29:38. Num. 28:3]. Brought about by the Crucifixion. Also, it will be cut off in future, because people will think Anti-Christ is the true Christ and won't take communion anymore.), and the place of the sanctuary was cast down. (Heb. 10. 33 A.D. Daniel is setting dates of the return of our Father, but "seasons", i.e. generation of the fig-tree began in 1948.)
12 And an host (used in a military sense) was set over (i.e. war is raised against "the daily sacrifice") the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and truth was cast down to the ground (i.e. the truth of God revealed in the Law and the prophets); and it did it with effect, and succeeded. (Going against God. False teaching.)
13 Then I heard one holy [one] speaking (an angelic attendant. Cp. 4:13. Deut. 33:2. Job 5:1; 15:15. Ps. 89:5,7. Zech. 14:5), and another saint said to that certain unnamed [one] (as in Ruth 4:1) which spoke, 'How long shall be the vision of the daily sacrifice [as taken away] (referring to the duration of what is said concerning "the daily sacrifice" and the desolation; not the interval before the fulfillment), and [the setting up of] the transgression of desolation, to give (or, after He has given over) both the sanctuary and the host (Cp. Num. 4:23,30,35,39,43; 8:24,25) to be trodden under foot?' (When are we going to have a clean holy place?)
14 And he said to me, 'Unto two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings; then shall the sanctuary be sanctified.' (See v.26. Lat happened in 1433 B.B. Josh 23:13.)
15 And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a mighty man. (Gabriel = man of God)
16 And I heard a man's voice (Gabriel, speaking for God. All is God's revelation) between the banks of Ulai (= pure water and truth), which called, and said, Gabriel (the 1st of 2 angels who are named in Scripture [cp. 9:21. Luke 1:19,26]. The 2nd is Michael [10:13:21; 12:1. Jude 9. Rev. 12:7), make this man to understand the vision.
17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said to me, 'Understand, O son of man (only Daniel and Ezekiel so called, beside Messiah. See Ps. 8:4): for at the time of the end (this gives the time to which this vision refers) belongs to the vision.' (This is for the end of the Dispensation of grace. Not going to happen in Daniels time.)
18 Now as he was speaking with me, I fell into a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright. (Don't bow to angels)
19 And he said, 'Behold, I will make you know what shall be in the last end of the wrath [of God]: for at the time appointed the end shall be. (See v.23)
20 The ram which you saw having two horns are the kings (here we have the beginning of the interpretation; which commences with past history with which the prophecy [which belongs to the future] is linked on. This is to connect the anticipatory and partial, or foreshadowing, fulfillment, which shows how the "little horn" will act, in a similar way as an individual, and not as a series of kings or popes) of Media and Persia. (Arian people that worshiped only one God. Where Cyrus came from.)
21 And the rough goat represents the king (or, kingdom) of Greece:
and the great horn that is between his eyes represents the first king. (i.e. Alexander the Great. See v.5)
22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up in the place thereof (the 4 hidden dynasties Satan uses to bring deception),
four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power. (i.e. not with Alexander's vigor of action and endurance. See 7:6)
23 And in the latter time of their kingdom (Beast system), when the transgressors are filled up their measure (therefore not full yet. This is a blow to all who are vainly trying to make the world better, and to "realize the kingdom of God on earth" now), a king of mighty presence (one of the titles of the Antichrist. See 7:8), and skilled in dissimulation, shall stand up.
24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power (unholy trinity. Very successful. See Rev. 13:2, and 2 Thess. 2:9,10): and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty ones and People of the holy ones [of the Most High]. (Not with war, but deception. He is supernatural. Antichrist will deceive all of those that don't have the seal of God in their minds.)
25 And through his policy also he shall cause deceit to prosper in his hand (Rev. 13:12,13); and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace (by their prosperity, or careless security) shall destroy many (by claiming he is Christ): he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes (i.e. the Messiah); but he shall be broken without hand. (The antichrist arrives at the sixth trump. He deceives and destroys with peace. The Prince of princes, that is Jesus Christ, returns at the seventh trump. It is all over for Satan, when Christ returns. Turn to Chapter eleven with me. See Isa. 11:4. 2 Thess. 2:8. Rev. 19:19,20. Cp. Isa. 10:12; 14:25; 31:8. Mic. 5:5-7. Zeph. 2:13. Zech. 10:11. Neh. 1:11.)
26 And the vision of the evening and the morning (2,800 days) which was told it is truth: wherefore shut you up the vision; for it [belongs] to many day [to come].' (i.e. to a yet future time)
27 And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was dumb at the vision, but none became aware of it. (He couldn't quite see it because it was for this day which began in 1948, the generation of the fig-tree. See vv. 11-14. 7:24030. Rev. 1:10.)
