Zechariah 12)

1 The oracle (Divine declaration) of the word of the LORD upon Israel (i.e. concerning Israel's affliction and final deliverance), says the LORD, which stretches forth the heavens (the omnipotence of Yahaveh is the guarantee that His word will be carried out. Cp. Isa. 42:5; 44:24; 45:12,18; 48:13), and lays the foundation of the earth (cp. Pss. 24:2; 102:25; 104:2-5. Amos 4:9,13), and forms the spirit of man within him. (At conception. Ref. Gen. 2:7. Num. 16:22)
2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the peoples round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. (Cp. 10:5.)
3 And it shall come to pass in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all peoples (a stone difficult to lift or move; not a stone to throw): all that burden themselves with it shall be lacerated (Assyria, Persia, Rome, Greece, Egypt of old, and in later days Spain, Portugal, Russia, and Germany have been lacerated on account of their treatment of the tribe of Judah.), though all the peoples of the earth be gathered together against it. (They can't win.)
4 In that day (the Day of the Lord. He will watch over His children), says the LORD, I will smite every horse with the panic (cp. Deut. 28:28), and his rider with madness: and I will regard with favor the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness.

5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength (see 6:3) in the LORD of hosts their God.

6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an chaffing dish of fire (handles the hot stuff. Cp. 1 Sam. 2:14) among the wood , and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left: (instant combustion)

and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, as Jerusalem. (See 10:8.)

7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. (Never judge a man by his dress.)

8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is tottering among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

12:10-13:5. ISRAEL. CONVERSION. FUTURE.
S  Y1  12:10-13:1. Good bestowed.
   Y2  13:2-5. Evil removed.

12:10-13:5. GOOD BESTOWED.
Y1 Z1 12:10-14. Spirit of grace poured out.
    Z2  13:1. Fountain opened.

10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon (= look attentively with hope and concern; as in Gen. 19:17,20. Quoted in Matt. 24:30. John 19:37. Cp. the 1st occ. Gen. 15:5 and Ex. 33:8. This is the effect of the gift of the Spirit) Me whom they have pierced, (see John 19:34,37. Rev. 1:7) and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
11 In that day shall there be a great mourning (or, the wailing shall be great) in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon (west of Estraelon, near Megiddo (= gathering place of the crowd [where Satan will be when he shows up with his cohorts claiming he is Christ], where king Josiah was slain, and where the mourning was unprecedented [2 Chron. 35:22-25)) in the valley of Megiddon. (In that day it will be the destruction of Satan in his role as Antichrist. Cp. 11:17.)
12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their women apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart (see 2 Sam. 5:14. All these names are mentioned in the genealogy of Luke 3), and their wives apart;
13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart (see Num. 3:18), and their wives apart;
14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

(All tribes present, the wedding to Christ has taken place, it is the Lord's Day. Those who fell for Satan thinking he was Christ didn't make the wedding!)
