Amos 7:1 Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers

(Cp. Nah. 3:17)

in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth;

(Joel. Rev. 9)

and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king's mowings.

(Exacted by the king from the People [1 Kings 4:7; 18:5]. These are the symbols of the army of 6:14. "Latter growth" is the end generation and the grasshoppers will take what ever is left after taxes. Does today's society live in debt? Do you throw much money away in interest? When this is applied to spiritual truth, there will be no spiritual truth left in the churches.)

2 And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, "O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small."

(Amos is saying, after seeing the damage of the Kenites (locust army), who's going to feed your people? Who is going to help them? There are so few who truly know the truth.)

3 The LORD repented for this: "It shall not be," saith the LORD.

(The Lord didn't say He would stop the locust army; only that He won't let this locust army eat or destroy all of them. Revelation 9:4 gives the answer: "And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads." God said, "Touch not mine anointed" (the elect), for those who have the seal of God in their forehead know who Satan is. They will not be tempted by him.)

4 Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.

5 Then said I, "O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small."

6 The LORD repented for this: "This also shall not be," saith the Lord GOD.

(God is showing Amos what would happen to His people in the end. Amos begged for God's mercy on them and God changed His mind.)

7 Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the LORD stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in His hand.

(A plumbline is a gauge line which will be held true and accurate by God's laws, and the laws of nature (gravity). The wall is the wall of our protection which is by Our Heavenly Father. So God is telling us we have His laws and written word, which are true and accurate, and His guided protection will be our protection in this final generation. God has warned us of everything we ought to know in this final generation through His Word. In Ezekiel 38 & 39 God allows us to see how that wall and security works when the armies come against us. Our plumbline to walk by is our Savior Jesus Christ, who set the example for us. When you sin and fall short, you always come back in line with that plumbline, Christ. This we do through the blood of Jesus Christ in repentance in Jesus name.)

8 And the LORD said unto me, "Amos, what seest thou?" And I said, "A plumbline." Then said the LORD, "Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of My People Israel:

(I.e. measure [the doings of Israel] with the plummet of righteousness and judgment. Cp. 2 Kings 21:12. Isa. 28:17; 34:11. Lam. 2:8,&c.)

I will not again pass by them any more:

(In Zechariah there is a plummet with seven eyes. The seven eyes are God's elect and the plummet which holds the truth of God's Word is the weight on the end of the plumb-line. It marks the straight course which is Christ and His Word which releases that truth to you whereby the Holy Spirit can work through you and accomplish the will of our Father.)

9 And the high places

(used for idolatrous altars, &c.)

of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel

(Used only by Amos in this sense. Put for the nation of Israel. Cp. Ps. 105:9,10. Jer. 33:26)

shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword."

(Cp Hos. 1:4. put for the 10 northern tribes.)

10-17. LITERAL. PROPHETIC.

10,11. Threatening. Captivity.
12. Rejection by Amaziah.
13. Prophecy rejected.
14,15. Justification by Amos.
16,17-. Prophecy repeated.
-17. Threatening. Captivity.

10 Then Amaziah the priest

(The idolatrous priest. A Kenite, see v.14)

of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, "Amos hath conspired

(The calves being connected with Israel's state policy [1 Kings 12:26-33])

against thee in the midst of the house of Israel:

(I.e. openly. Cp. v.8. This house had gone bad.)

the land is not able to bear all his words.

(Character means everything. Amaziah means "strength of Yahaveh." He had powerful "credentials" and he was sure upset with Amos. Amos was prophesying things that Amaziah couldn't explain and the people were asking too many questions.)

11 For thus Amos saith, 'Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.' "

(This verse is a bold faced lie, for the Hebrew manuscript (Masssorah) shows Amos just did not say this. The Kenite infiltration of scribes corrupted the Word here. Amos said there would be the captivity, however, another priest made this statement, which did not come true. The Kenite scribes, desiring to confuse and corrupt the Prophecy of Amos, accused the wrong person. Amaziah was the accuser, not Amos. We must be aware of what happened in Ezra's day, where by the Nethinims, the Orientals, the Kenite sons of Satan had taken over the priesthood completely, coming out of Babylonian captivity.

Ezra 8:15 "And I (Ezra) gather them together to the river that runmneth to Ahava; And there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the People, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi."

Here the house of Judah is returning to rebuild the temple and set up temple worship, and not one of the tribe of Levi, the Levitical priesthood is returning. Half of those returning are not of the lineage of Abraham, but Kenites of Hamath. We are warned of this in I Chronicles 2:55; "And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez (Jerusalem); the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab." It is from these Kenites, sons of Satan through Cain, that this verse was changed to be what it reads.)

12 Also Amaziah said unto Amos, "O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah,

(Even though belonging to Judah [1:1] Amos was a prophet to Israel.)

and there eat bread, and prophesy there:

(Amaziah was fed up with Amos and his prophecies. Those prophesies were disruptive to his BaAl worship service, as Amaziah and the rest of the "House of Israel" were worshipping their cow (golden calf). Today the the golden calves are in many forms, and appear as buildings, trinkets, and even traditions and doctrines.

Sounds sort of like today. When prophecy came out of Waco, Texas, our Kenite infiltrated government went in with guns blazing just to silence their words. Then the plots and lies were created to convince people of "the threat" those few and their 28 babies to them and our land. This is also what is going on in most of the churches today. The priests and people just cannot stand for their pagan traditions and worship to be interfered with or any thing that would stop the flow of money to their coffers.)

13 But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for it is the king's chapel, and it is the king's court."

(God sends people but they won't listen. Beth-el is the "house of God." Amaziah told Amos to go speak God's truth somewhere else but not in their "house of God." It was the king's house. There is a false king coming beloved, but there is only one Beth-el. Be sure you are in the house of the King of kings and Lord of lords.)

14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, "I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son;

(Prophets were not hereditay as priests were. Cp. Heb. 1:1)

but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:

(Amos is correcting Amaziah, for all Amaziah can think of concerning Amos is, "he is one of us". Quite obviously, Amaziah didn't know Amos, and just started spreading lies to fight Amos. That is exactly what we will face when we try to tell the truth of God's Word in these final days. Amos let Amaziah know he wasn't trained in his schools to follow his traditional ways. He was a herdsman and a fruit picker. Amos also is not the son of one of their priests.

"Sycamore fruit" is really "wild figs." Are you familiar with the parable of the fig tree which Christ commanded you to know?)

15 And the LORD took me

(I.e. called me. Prophets were called by Yahaveh; not born prophets, or made prophets by man. See 1 Sam. 10:5. Heb. 1:1)

as I followed the flock, and the LORD said unto me, 'Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.'

(Amos wasn't raised as a priest, he was a working man who didn't make his living from teaching or prophesying God's words. He's saying, "I didn't ask to bring you this message and I'm not profiting by it". Notice, God didn't say Judah, but Israel. The majority of old Israel comprises the Christian nations today.

Hosea 1:10 "Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, `Ye are not My People,' there is shall be said unto them, `Ye are the sons of the living God.' "

Hosea is talking about the people of the house of Israel living in the latter days. The house of Israel had been scattered, and will not return, as the house of Judah, mixed with the Kenites have done in 1948. So in the places that these tribes have lived as nations around the world, they shall all be know by one factor; they shall be called "the sons of the living God". This applies only to the ten tribes spoken of by Amos, for the Jews, the house of Judah denies that Christ ever existed, and then tells you what a wicked man that was. The Christian nations are so blind that they actually call themselves "Gentile nations". You can't get any blinder than that. The Jews will not allow you to preach to their people, for when the light of the Word comes in, the darkness is gone. Jesus the Christ is the Living God, and those nations that are of the old house of Israel are the Christian nations of today.)

16 Now therefore hear thou the word of the LORD: 'Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.'

(Ref. Deut. 32:2. Cp. Ezek. 20:46; 21:2. Mic. 2:6.)

17 Therefore thus saith the LORD; 'Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.' "

(Consequence of the lie, Babylon. The city is Babylon, the state of confusion or "babel" that is come upon the world in the end. Many shall fall on either side of that plumb-line as it divides through those who are lazy and those deceived. Jeroboam was the last king of Israel before it went into the Assyrian captivity. The remaining people scattered and lost their heritage to the point that they don't even know who they are today. It was an awful war waged on Jeroboam, but nothing compared to the famine for God's truth, spiritual food.

Amaziah was right to one point when he stated, "These are not houses of God but the people's houses of their government": Used to control the thoughts of the people, and elevate the government's control and position. If you were to walk in to most protestant churches, or even Catholic, and teach the "parable of the fig tree", you would have a bunch of irate people on your hands. Even if Jesus walked in to teach His truth, it just would not be accepted. He would be asked to leave.

If you have a true house of God you're attending, support it. If not, you have a decision to make, and only you can make it. It concerns your soul and its future. Let's respect God and worship Him, when we say we love Him. Don't you think He deserves it?)
