(We know from our study of Amos that the word "Amos" means "burden". The Fifth Chapter ended with the Lord saying, "Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, . . . ". What is "beyond Damascus" [the land of Jordan]? It is Babylon.
This is not in reference to the "House of Judah's" captivity, for in verse 5:1 it is addressed to the "House of Israel" in the end times. It is in reference to the United States, Britain, and the Christian nations that are in bondage, blindly by deception to the mystery Babylon religion of the final generation. We are in that final generation, and the Lord is saying this to the Christian world, "I will cause you to go into captivity; to go whoring after Antichrist." If you insist on following heathen doctrine such as the rapture, etc., go ahead!
However, a certain number will know the truth, and it is through them, "God's elect" will have studied God's Word, and do know the difference between the first (Satan) and second (true) Christ's that shall come.
The Sixth Chapter of Amos is about getting ourselves wrapped up in false security. It is about just who you can really trust in the final days.)

Amos 6:1 Woe
(The 2nd woe.)
to them that are at ease in Zion,
(I.e. the nobles of Judah, in comparison with the nobles of Jerusalem [in Samaria] in the next clause.)
and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations,
(I.e. Israel. Ex. 19:5)
to whom the house of Israel came!
(Don't put your trust in nations. This verse is addressed to the "mountains" or nations of Samaria, which include the United States, Britain, and other Christian nations of the world. These are the nations of the offspring of the old "House of Israel".
Why are these nations "at ease in Zion" and trust in the military strength of the United States and Britain? Because God has given them victories, and "they" (we) as a nation, instead of giving God the credit, gave it to our generals, missiles, planes, and everything imaginable; but not to God. God is saying here, now that you have won all your battles, you better not put your security in your government.)
2 Pass ye
(I.e. the Euphrates. Cp. Jer. 2:10)
unto Calneh,
(On the Tigris. Built by Nimrod [Gen. 10:10. Called Cano [Isa. 10:9]; Canneh [Ezek. 27:23])
and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great:
(On the North Now called Hama, on the Orontes, north of Damascus. Ref. Gen. 10:18. Num. 34:7,8. Cp. v.14)
then go down to Gath of the Philistines:
(Now Tell es Safi, in the south. See 1 Sam. 5:8)
be they better
(I.e. these nobles and chief men)
than these kingdoms?
(Which have been overthrown)
or their border greater than your border?
(Amos is addressing the final generation prior to the Lord's return. Amos is talking about the United Nations of today, our Babylon of the end times.
"Hamath" are the Kenites that many look as Jewish. They are the offspring of Cain and the sons of Satan from the Garden of Eden. It is these people that took over the priesthood and scribes' duties from the Levites and corrupted translations of God's Word as a written warning is given in I Chronicles 2:55 and in the book of Ezra.
I Chronicles 2:55 "And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez [Jerusalem]; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hamath, the father of the house of Rechab."
These Kenites are not of Abraham nor of Israel, but of their father Rechab, of the lineage of Cain, that first murderer in the garden of Eden. These are the ones that sat in the seat of the scribes, keeping watch over the Word of God, and all the records of Israel and Judah. It is their traditions and not Moses law that is taught by them, and that is why they sought to kill Jesus from the very start of His ministry.
Ezra 8:15 "And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the People, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi."
Two things to remember here; First is that they are returning to Jerusalem to set up the temple, the walls, and reestablish the temple worship. Secondly, the only ones that God would allow to offer the sacrifices and perform the duties of the Levitical priest were men from the lineage of Aaron, and from the tribe of Levi. Here Ezra is telling us that amongst the over forty three thousand people that are returning with him to Jerusalem to do all this, there is not one man from the tribe of Levi with them. The duties of the Levitical priests have been taken over in Babylon by the Kenites [these Nethenims], and we see from the first two chapters of Ezra that over half of them claiming to be of Judah are fakes, Kenites wearing the robes of the priests, and doing the duties of the priest. This is the reason that they remain hidden to this day, for they control the records, and they desire to be hidden within the records.
Now relate this to the time of the end. Take a look at our nation, and the men at the top. God's telling you to take a look at all the victories He gave us, then ask yourselves, do you think that's your security. Then He asks us to take a look at our borders and ask yourselves, are their borders greater than ours. In other words, we have been warned that our nations have been taken over by a one world government with Kenite (Satanic) men in control of all aspects of our lives; and even our borders are to be given over to them through the many trade agreement, and control agreements through the United Nations. They control all matters of your life through their four hidden dynasties, That being Politics, Religion, Economics and Education.
God is saying, "Don't put your security in governments of this earth, or rely on man's intelligence for your answers. It had better be in Christ, the Son of God, who paid the price, and His Word.")
3 Ye that put far away the evil day,
(Cp. 3:6; 5:13; 9:10)
and cause the seat of violence to come near;
(Ignorant people don't worry about it.)
4 That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;
(Jesurun. God is dressing down the "fat cat" rich people who sit in their easy chairs and sleep in their fancy beds and eat only the finest of foods, and have overlooked that it all belongs to Him. They don't even give one word of thanks or worship to Him.)
5 That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David;
(They create their music and instruments and songs, and then when they play their songs, they think or elevate themselves to think they are as important as David was to God. Many modern day musicians even within the church dedicate their talents to blasphemy, and money making, and self-gratification, instead of to the praise of God.)
6 That drink wine in bowls,
(Not in goblets. They drank in party bowl. They were gluttonous)
and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.
(Put for the 10 northern tribes. They didn't worry about their heritage.)
7 Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.
(No more sin parties. Those that have given no respect to God will be removed. In other words, the greater the sin, the greater the punishment. This is why the greatest punishment in the Millennium will be on the preachers, teachers, and pastors (Bethel) first; for misleading God's sheep.)
8 The Lord GOD hath sworn by Himself,
(ref. Gen. 22:16. Cp. Jer. 51:14. Very serious),
saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.
(Delivered up to the Assyrian, who was a type for antichrist.
God is telling us he hates and despises our churches. We play church, and God is not honored as the Chief Author. God's Word is not quite good enough for those pastors that think it's too coarse for us. Well, if God's Word is too coarse, Satan's should be just about right for them. "The excellency of Joseph" is the leadership of our people. God is very dissatisfied with those who claim to be His, and lead His flock.)
9 And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house,
(I.e. after the siege)
that they shall die.
(The subject here is religion, and the death is a spiritual death.)
10 And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him,
(See 4:10. 1 Sam. 31:12. Spiritual death, cremation. It was a common practice of the Horites [cp. Gen. 14:6. Deut. 2:12,22], whose remains were found in the excavation at Gezar. See 1 Kings 9:15-17)
to bring out the bones out of the house,
(1.e. one reduced to a mere skeleton. Cp. Job 7:15; 19:20)
and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD.
(This is the other side of Ezekiel 37. What was Ezekiel trying to do to those dry bones they were trying to take out of the House of God? Prophecy to them! Teach them! It was talking about people dead spiritually and void of the Word of God.
God is saying here in Amos that there is no common sense in our religious festivities. Those traditions are from and to the heathen, and not to God.)
11 For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.
(See Matt.24.
What house will God bust wide open? The "Beth'-el's"; the church houses!)
12 Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen?
(Irony, stupidity)
for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:
(See Deut. 29:18, same word as 'wormwood'.
(In the Hebrew) Does a horse rider ride full speed on slippery rocks? Common sense says No! God says this is what is happening in our churches. (In the Hebrew text the word "sea" was deleted here.) But it is asking: "Do you take a yoke of oxen into the ocean to plow?" No! God says that this is how much sense it makes, in the way some churches play church. In their fly away doctrine, Easter bunnies, Santa Clauses, and side shows.
"Hemlock" is poison. God says you have turned His righteous judgment into poisons and bitterness. You have brought men into the churches who teach His people poisons, and they run off at the mouth instead of teaching His Word.)
13 Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
(Put for the power put forth by them)
by our own strength?'
(They make light of God's power. We have no concept of the super-natural.
"Horn" means "power", and these churches which ought to be teaching God's Word are claiming the strengths and powers to somehow be of their own power. That's blasphemy, friend! But how about when one is healed? Do you say, "Oh, it's brother so-and-so's healing ministry", or their prophecy, speaking in tongues, healing or anything else. Any credit on your part it thievery.
Any credit you claim on earth is no (zero) credit you'll get in Christ's kingdom. Remember, we are just instruments for Christ's use. I have never heard an instrument play by itself, and only the One playing the instruments of God's gifts gets the credit; and that's our Heavenly Father, and His precious son, Jesus Christ, our Savior. It is His Spirit doing the work through our body as His instrument.)
14 But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation,
(Ref. Deut. 28;49)
O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you
(Ref. Ex. 3:9. Deut. 26:7)
from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.
(I.e the plain, south of Judah. Deut. 1:1,&c. Darkness at end of day. Near the end of this earth age when locust army [Kenites] swarm. This is that locust army God warns of in Joel 1:6. God's truth is sometimes overlooked because He requires a little work on your part. The lazy person may simply skip over a passage such as this one because it may require a little homework to understand. The "entering of Hemath" indicates the Kenite nation, documented in the fact that in I Chronicles 2:55, Hemath was the father of all Rechabites, who were the Kenites. The "river of the wilderness" in the Hebrew means "until the dusk of the day" which always indicates the end times.
The Kenites are just as much in power today as they were in Jesus day, and the truth of God's Word is just as damning to them now as then. We are in the end of this earth age of the flesh, and their power is about to come to a close. However before the end comes, the Kenite's father, Satan himself along with all of the fallen angels in heaven will come here to earth and set up their religious system. All the people on the face of the earth, including many many Christians will fall down to worship Satan in ignorance. Why? Because they have not studied God's Word but followed man's traditions, Kenite traditions even within the church houses. The darkness is upon us, and time is short.)
