1 John 2)

1 My little children (showing tenderness), these things write I to you, to the end that you may not [commit] sin [habitually]. And should any man sin (i.e. commit an act of sin), we have an advocate (see John 14:16. Rom. 8:34. the Comforter, the Holy Spirit) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And He is the propitiation (atoned sacrifice for past sins, not future, cp. Rom. 3:23) for our sins: and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world also. (Down through the generations. Cp. John 3:16. Rom. 5:18,19. 2 Cor. 5:15.)

3 And in this we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
4 He that says, "I know Him," and keeps not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (Don't promise you will never do it again.)
5 But whoso keeps His word, in him verily is the love of God perfected (working at it. Matured over a long period of time - your life): hereby know we that we are in Him.
6 He that says he abides (lives with) in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He (i.e. referring to the Son) walked.

7 Brethren, I write not a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning. (The Law remains! Ordinances change. God's the same today as always.)
8 Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you: because the darkness passes away, and the true light already shines. (If you participate)

9 He that says he is in the light, and hates his brother (from same womb, family member), is in darkness even until now. (See 2 Thess. 3:6. You can correct.)
10 He that loves his brother abides in the light (Christ), and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. (See Rom. 9:33)
11 But he that hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and knows not where he goes (he's lost. Cp. John 12:35), because that darkness blinded his eyes. (See 2 Cor. 4:4.)

12 I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you on account of His name. (He did not die for nothing. He paid a price. His name has a good reputation.)
13 I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him that is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one (see John 16:33. He expects you to know who Satan is). I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father. (You love God.)
14 I (i.e. St. John) wrote to you, fathers (help your family), because you have known Him that is from the beginning. I wrote to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one. (You have power over him.)

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world (elements of the world, wickedness). If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (temptation of Adam and Eve in the Garden), is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides for ever.

2:18-29. ANTICHRIST.
C A1 18-23. Antichrist. Definition.
   A2 24-29. Antichrist. Protection against.

2:18-23. ANTICHRIST. DEFINITION.
A1 c Antichrist.
     d Rejection of the truth.
      e 20. Unction.
d 21. Rejection of the lie.
    c 22,23. Antichrist.

18 Little children, it is the last hour (cp. Acts 2:17): and as you have heard that antichrist comes (cp. John 5:43. 2 Thess. 2:3-9. He, Satan, is coming, no 'rapture'), even have risen many antichrists (false ones claiming to be Christians. Now there are people that pretend they are from Christ, but are not, they are called Kenites); where we know that it is the last hour. (See Matt. 24.)

19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

20 And you have an unction (Gr. chrisma. For the verb chrio see 2 Cor. 1:21) from the Holy One, and you know all things.

21 I have not written to you because you know not the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

22 Who is the liar (cp. John 8:44. 2 Thess. 2:11) but he that denies that Jesus is not the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denies the Son, he has not the Father: he that confesses the Son has the Father also. (See Matt. 10:22. We know that many people in Judea do not except Christ, but that is not to say that they are antichrist. The word "Jew" means Ioudaios in the Greek

G2453 - Ioudaios - ee-oo-dah’-yos From G2448 (in the sense of G2455 as a country); udaean, that is, belonging to Jehudah: - Jew (-ess), of Juda. A resident of Judea.

Be careful not to blame our brother Judah for that which the Kenites have done. What constitutes an antichrist? One that denies the Christ)

2:24-29. ANTICHRIST. PROTECTION AGAINST.
A2 f1 24. The word heard.: abiding in them.
g1 25. His purpose: eternal life.
f2 26,27-. The anointing: abiding in them.
     g2 -27. His teaching: truth.
f3 28. Confidence through abiding in Him.
g3 29. His righteousness.: they born of Him.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning. If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25 And this is the promise that He promised us, even eternal life.

26 These things have I written to you concerning them that lead you astray. (To cause you to error.)
27 But the anointing which you have received concerning Him abides in you (gift from God. The Spirit leads you, not man), and you need not that any man teach you:

but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and even as it has taught you, abide in Him. (See John 14. Close relationship. Dwell, live with.)

28 And now, little children, abide in Him; that, when He shall appear (2nd Advent after the antichrist, Satan, shows up defacto), we may have confidence (see Acts 28:31), and not be ashamed before Him in His coming. (See Matt. 24:3.)

29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that every one that practices righteousness is begotten of Him. (Born from above. Family.)
